Signe has been playing the violin since she was 7 years old. She was a music student for over 15 years in Estonia. After studying at Põlva Music School and Tallinn Music High School, she did her postgraduate degree at The Estonian Theatre and Music Academy, graduating in 1997.
Signe has a wide experience both as a performer and a teacher. She was part of the European Youth Orchestra in Stuttgart (1993) and played the first violin in several chamber orchestras in Estonia. She has performed in Canada, Ukraine,Germany, Finland, Russia and many other countries. She also worked as a violin teacher in The Põlva Music School for 20 years.
Signe enjoys seeing her students love music and develop their skills in their chosen instrument. After many years of experience with students she knows that each person has unique abilities. She looks for the most suitable teaching methods for each student to bring out the best in them. Students that she has had the honour to teach have by now reached higher music education, which makes any teacher happy. After moving to London Signe joined the charity orchestra "The Pico Players". Currently she is working both in several music schools and as a private violin teacher.
